Sean Cullinan with Certificates of Appreciation for Hurricane Maria Relief Work

SKC Technologies is excited to announce that it’s founder and president, Sean Cullinan, has been presented with multiple certificates of appreciation for his efforts facilitating communications in the U.S. Virgin Islands following Hurricanes Irma and Maria.  Mr. Cullinan has been an Amateur radio operator since 2015 with a call sign of WP2SC.

Mr. Cullinan recently recounted his experiences: “I got into Ham radio as a way to further my technology experimentation and knowledge.  Little did I know at the time how important this endeavor would become after two category 5 hurricanes hit our islands in the same month.  The experience and technical knowledge I had gained as a Ham radio operator allowed me to volunteer at the Virgin Islands Territorial Management Agency (VITEMA) immediately after Hurricane Irma.  I was part of a team that performed what is called ESF-2 communications work.  This included facilitating supply drops via Helicopter on St. John amongst other exciting missions.  It was fantastic to feel like part of the solution at such an important time!”

Here are the letters of commendation Mr. Cullinan received for his efforts:
